Billy's Chili & Super Bowl Nachos

Hey all you football fans! Do you need a recipe that is sure to be a hit at your Super Bowl party? BK's fan favorite Chili Nachos are bound to wow your party guests. Elevate your nacho game by making this easy-to-make chili and throw it on in a chip bag with all of your desired toppings and shake it up.


Beef . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2.5lbs

Onions . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1 medium

Garlic . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1.5 Tbl.

Red Kidney Beans . . 3# 4 oz.

Tomato Sauce . . . . . . 3# 4 oz

Diced Tomatoes . . . . . 3# 4 oz

Chili Powder . . . . . . . . . 7 Tbl to taste

Cumin . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1 Tbl. To taste

Poblanos . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 each



Method:

In a preheated pot brown the ground beef in a little olive oil breaking it up into chunks. When about 75% cooked add in the onions, garlic, chili powder, cumin and poblanos. Continue to cook until the meat is done and the onions tender.


Drain off the excess fat.


Add in the tomatoes and tomato sauce and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 20 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper and add in the beans and their juice and continue to simmer.


Cook for another 20 minutes slowly reducing until you have a nice thick consistency. Adjust the spice and seasoning to your taste, remove and cool.


Now grab a bag of your favorite tortilla chips, pick your choice of cheese, and gather all of your favorite nacho toppings! Pour some chili and cheese into your bag of tortilla chips and shake it up. Once well mixed, spread your smothered chili chips across a platter. Throw your favorite toppings on top and serve! Do let us know if you gave this recipe a whirl!
