Leslie Nguyen - aka "Miss Bosscat"

We’re blessed to have the support of talented culinary pros who will practically drop what they are doing to come out to support our mission. One special friend is Leslie Nguyen, otherwise known as “Miss Bosscat.” Her plate is full but she still finds time to give back with her Miss Mini Donut, custom couture donut business.

Leslie is the Founder and Creative Director of Bosscat Kitchen + Libations with locations in Newport Beach, Houston, Old Towne Orange. They are moving the Newport Beach location to Irvine to the Lakeshore Towers, and potentially opening one in Denver, and Woodlands, Texas.

Bosscat is a popular whiskey bar serving up American comfort food offering an extensive whiskey menu and specialize in craft cocktails and local craft beers. Brunch aficionados know about their famous weekend brunch.

She’s also the owner of Miss Mini Donuts, specializing in the cutest made-to-order bite size donuts. Leslie was obsessed with donut machines and found the perfect one that she can create perfect donuts at events, parties, music festivals and charities. Her side business has really grown over the last four years. Donuts can be ordered online, on site at Bosscat in Newport Beach, and delivery is available, too.

Their mini size makes them perfect for anyone who loves to try different flavors, and Miss Mini offers 15 flavors! The donuts can be customized in different colors and logos. Custom donuts require 48 hour advance for logo printing. Custom colors and themes don't need notice, they can be ready the next day.

Each sweet treat is made with the highest quality sprinkles and toppings. Miss Mini Donuts also makes fun donut decorating kits that make great gifts. Kits start at $25 for 25 plain made-fresh-daily mini donuts with your choice of frosting and toppings.

Leslie says she had heard about Bracken’s Kitchen in the industry for years and believed in the mission. She reached out to Bill Bracken and said she would love to meet him and bring him Miss Mini donuts. One day she stopped by, brought donuts, and found out more about his mission and got a tour of our kitchen. Bill invited her to the Hungry Games 4.0 to provide mini donuts for guests.

Any charity that reaches out that needs help with fundraising, or venue space she will do her best to donate donuts. Leslie helps other charities such as The Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance (OCAPICA), Make A Wish, Operation Smile, TACA, and many more. “I have depression, but the donuts kept me alive and gave me a purpose in my life. Now it’s my mission to give back with my donuts as much as I can, wherever I can,” said Leslie.

“No one should go hungry. Food is such a gift. It feeds our soul. It brings every color, race and religion together. Being involved with people like Bill has been giving me so

much more purpose. COVID taught me that making other people happy brought me so much joy and it really helped me.”
